On November 10, 2025, SCOTUS (The Supreme Court of the United States) declined to hear arguments on gay marriage. This is an answer to prayer.
The UCLA School of Law Williams Institute reports that, approximately 600,000 same-sex couples have married in the United States since SCOTUS extended marriage equality in 2015. https://williamsinstitute.law.ucla.edu/press/ss-marriage-data-media-alert
For SCOTUS to have rescinded same-sex marriage now would have accomplished nothing more than to tear apart hundreds of thousands of couples and their homes. To do so would have afflicted more pain on a community that has suffered enough at the hands of ignorant people.
Time has proven that the Supreme Court’s decision to legalize same-sex marriage in 2015 has had no detrimental effect on marriage as an institution. And the ignorant Bible interpreters who blame gay people for destroying the “Biblical” concept of marriage need to review the lives of some of God’s favorite Bible characters who had multiple wives and the Lord never said a word about it (unless one or more of their multiple spouses led them into worship of their pagan gods).
The ability to join in marriage, and to have all its inherent protections, is all a part of God’s unconditional, non-discriminating love.
